Guildford Town hall, library

the guildford town hall, and adjacent library/council chambers are excellent examples of perths inter war art deco style architecture, nad are remarkably well in tact. The Town hall was built in 1937, and the library followed in 38 ad done to complement the existing hall. The town hall, was done by excellent art deco architects Eales, Cohen and Fitzhardinge, also who did the south perth tivoli town Great. THe usual art deco standards apply, horizontal banding, vertical element, phallic in nature, ornametal friezes etc, really nice lettering on this one, and nice colouring. really great!
