This is the former Fremantle RAC offices, designed by Raymond Jones in 1972. A cream brick box, punctuated with interesting brick details to support various signage. It used to have a warehouse attached out the back, now gone.

  1. i’m a big fan of 70s brickwork. there is a very nice example of some clever brickwork at the midland gate shopping centre. it’s all gutter overflows and downpipes. slowly it is getting eaten up by cheap bastard tilt-slab, but it’s still there for the moment. sadly, i thrill to the site of it anytime i’m int hat neck of the woods. check it out.
