This the co masonic hall on brisbane street in Northbridge, Done by WG Bennet, in 1936. A very lovely example of interwar art deco hall architecture, and one of many freemasons halls executed in a very similiar manner, espesh the nedlands one. Nice one story proportioning.Very interesting though for the facadism at work here. Note the back, which could belong to any building of the era.. I suspect minimal funds are to blame, and a sense of getting mo’ bang for yer buck. Anyways a very very nicely executed small scale public building.
