Claremont

I am back! This is a house in Claremont, A fairly early example of Perth modernism, from 1952. This is a house by Ivan Jordanoff. I don’t know anything about him, except for this house and a circular one in Darlington somewhere. It is a very nice piece with a great,  huge pitch roof, and great stone work walls. Lovely contrast between very solid walls and delicate, expansive areas of glazing. The best bit is a garage/back addition thing, with what appears to be a study/bedrooms underneath.

  1. It is an Iwanoff. His first work built under his own name in Perth as far as I know. A beautiful piece.

  2. This is one of the best. The extension is also fantastic. This is all you need in a house. Jewel.
