This is the former Showroom/warehouse for Ceramic Tile Supplies, designed in 1985 by Howlett and Bailey. The building was designed to optimise natural light to the showroom, as well as providing maximum floor space for the products. The glazed facade to the south, and pergola/cut outs to the east and northern sides allow this natural light to stream in. The central barrel vault is a device used in many projcts by Forbes and Fitz/H+B around this time, I will feature a few more soon. Interiors feature tiled surfaces, and white ships railings, beautiful window details as well. Overall a powerful project, on a tight budget.
